At ERA Healthcare York we support our clients and promote their independence within the community. We can provide care to suit your needs on a long term, short term or last minute basis, with temporary and permanent placements available, no matter how big or small your requirement may be. We also have 24 hour emergency ‘out of hours’ service to give you peace of mind.

We specialise in the provision of reliable Qualified Nurses and Carers of the highest calibre from within the local area, providing a vital support service which is on call any time, day or night.

We are discerning in our selection of staff, employing only candidates who fit in with our company policy and ethos as well as fulfilling the criteria outlined in the job specification.

We recruit, interview, apply for Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosures and take up references before we offer candidates a place on our training course.

The Company recognises the importance of quality training and therefore, have adopted a policy which only permits our Care staff to commence work in the Care sector once they have successfully completed our 5 day training course in the seven Mandatory Healthcare Disciplines. Which are:

  • People Moving & Handling
  • Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults
  • Infection Control
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Fire Safety
  • Health & Safety
  • Food Hygiene Awareness

Once our Carers commence work, there will be a 12 week probationary period during which they will undergo further training in the Common Induction Standards.

In addition, we are keen to support career progression for our Care Staff. It is hoped that by encouraging our employees to expand their knowledge base by accessing further training and ‘refresher’ days, we will have professional, competent and well trained staff with a sense of job satisfaction.

Quality Assurance:
We are confident that whether you require a Nurse or a Carer we will be able to provide experienced and qualified staff, who will be matched to your individual requirements.

We supply Carers and Nurses to the following areas:

  • Homecare / Domiciliary Care
  • NHS Trusts & Hospitals
  • Nursing, Retirement & Care Homes
